I really like Mike Huckabee a lot. He filled in for our pastor a number of times, but if he should run as VP with Rudy, he can count me out.

He’s not sure if he could run with someone who supports murdering human life? The answer to that question should be very easy. No. One can’t help but wonder how far to the left Huckabee is willing to lean.

Gov. Huckabee responded admitted that the bill is:

“inflammatory ... race-baiting and demagoguery.” He said it is also “anti- life” because, he says, it would deny pre-natal benefits to illegal-alien mothers and therefore harm their newborns, who would be American citizens. The bill, Hackabee said, “inflames those who are racist and bigots and makes them think there’s a real problem. But there’s not.”

A Baptist minister, Huckabee singled out Holt, also a Christian. Said the governor: “I drink a different kind of Jesus juice.” — World Daily Net

I don’t think he has anything to worry about. Neither he nor Giuliani will have running mates.

sorry, forgot part of it

Republican legislators in Arkansas are moving to deny State benefits to illegal aliens. The bill would also require State employees to report suspected illegal aliens or face criminal charges themselves. A copy of the bill can be found here: -- Senate Bill 206 Gov. Huckabee seems to carry himself well. Actually, he looked like the most viable of the lot. Romney is very sharp, but comes off as a tad too manufactured.

Mike Huckabee is a good man. I know several people who know him personally and my dad actually will be meeting him soon. I think he is a great guy. I plan on voting for him in the primary’s. I think he is way overlooked by conservatives.

He told the LULAC delegates that their presence in the state's capital city was very important because Arkansas has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the nation. "Your gathering is so very significant for our state," Huckabee said. "We are delighted to have you."

want more?

Don’t worry. Rudy won’t be the Republican nominee.

I know he is a good man, Halls. But his heart is bigger than his body when it comes to compassion for Illegals.

He does have it right about abortion..

Last night I was thinking of a Thompson.Huckabee ticket. That would be something I could vote for.

Something about Romney rubs me wrong too. My opinion, only.

The republicans are headed over the cliff and it appears as if nothing will stop them. The only thing that can stop them is pointed phone calls which state the obvious.

If amnesty is granted I vote against every republican candidate who voted for it. If Rudy is the nominee I vote third party. If you ever again call me for money, I'll laugh in your face.I've already given those messages to the RNC on the phone. Tomorrow I call the White House line and leave the same message. It's now or never. We stop them here or the Republican and Whig Parties become synonomous for all time.

I feel the same as both of you express and I can’t figure out why this man has not received more interest and attention? Everyone is raving about Fred, but Huckabee seems to me a perfect conservative, and a younger, more passionate candidate, really devoted to making American better. I’m not an expert on either of them, but just from watching the debates and reading all the articles on F.R., it seems here is a really great guy we are overlooking. Anyone can explain more if that’s true?

Should he fail to capture the Republican nomination for president next year, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says he’s not sure if he could serve as a running mate with a pro-abortion GOP presidential candidate.

Should he fail?
