out of the 854 miles of fence along the U.S.-Mexico border that is supposed to be built, mandated in that law passed last year, only two miles have actually been built. Yeah, but, but, but . . . they will enfore the comprehensive bill. Yeah, right.

Now, Congressman Hunter also told me that he told the president that out of the 854 miles of fence along the U.S.-Mexico border that is supposed to be built, mandated in that law passed last year, only two miles have actually been built. Congressman Hunter said he told that to the president and the president seemed surprised —
This is so unsettling ...that I had to read it 3 times to be sure I GOT IT.

Congressman Hunter told me he is making it clear to the White House he thinks this is a rotten deal. Yes, it appears that the Republican candidates for president are largely lining up against this amnesty.

Congressman Duncan Hunter has just demonstrated why he should be sitting behind that desk in the Oval Office.
I daresay he should be sitting in there NOW, instead of the current occupant.

I’m kind of wondering what happens to the money that was allocated to build the fence that isn’t getting built.

Wow. I must be a telepath. I was at work thinking about the amnesty bill earlier today, fantasizing about Hunter going to the White House to speak his mind on this bill to President Bush...and what do you know, he does that very thing!
Duncan Hunter: A Man of Words and Action. He's the one we need in the White House! (And kudos to Tancredo and Fred for slamming this amnesty bill as well, as it should.)

I’m now listening to a replay of Mark Levin’s radio show, and he said he couldn’t get a copy of the bill.
Are they trying to hide something?

Good for Hunter.
In the debate the other night, or in the interview afterwards, Hunter said that the fence was funded. That the money was appropriated for it. Now that is the opposite of what we've been told. Someone's been lying and I don't think it's Duncan Hunter.

Well, one would think that if you're coming up about 852 miles short over the course of six months, not even by government standards would that be considered progress. I heard from my cousin in Iraq that construction of the U.S. Embassy and 3 new bases are proceeding briskly. But the Iraqi borders remain as porous as ever. Sound familiar?
To: AuntB
Duncan Hunter third party....make the republicans pay for selling out America....go done with the ship and with your convictions. do not vote for a milk toast. vote for a Nationalist....a patriot a true AMERICAN.
