The new Democratic majority in Congress has put forth its "plan" for Iraq, which consists of surrender starting Oct. 1. The president vetoed the measure, but it is not going away. The only argument for most Democrats is whether the troops should come home today or in a few months.

This is where the dems have gone wrong: no one likes war, and when the question is asked "Do you want the war to end?" the answer clearly is "yes." However, the moonbatty leftists, who are herding the surrender-dems like Reid, Murtha, and Pelosi like sheep, want it ended without any thought to the consequences and in fact would welcome an American defeat, while rational people want it ended with victory and a stable ally in the mideast. I hope the dems' blatant power-grab in total disregard of our national interests backfires on them BIG TIME.
Their plan is to pull our troops out, and then when the Middle Easy becomes Al Qaeda Bloodbath Central, they will say "See? We told you! Before the invasion, this place wasn't great, but it was stable--NOW look what happened after Bush's War!"
The result would be a disaster for Iraq, America and the world.

And Iraq is no exception, along with their desire to provide amnesty for untold millions of illegal Mexicans, simply for votes, and without ANY consideration of the impact on America, its REAL citizens and the resulting COSTS.
With Dems plus RINO’s, it is only a matter of time before the US surrenders to the Iranians and Al Queida.

This is a very good point.They really seem to live in a fantasy world, where all is appearance and there are no consequences to anything they do. What fools. Of course, what's worse is that they are dragging us along with them, and the consequences will fall on all of us.
Exactly ,why dont the Republicans explain that the Democrats want the War ended today But I dont think our enemies do . Why doesnt someone ask where and when the Democrats are going to have the surrender ceremony where General Patraeus will turn surrender his sword , I think that will make a good campaign poster
I forgot about “Muslim Mickey”. That would have been an interesting thing to add to the column, it would have been a secondary tie-in to the “Disneyland” comment.

And as far as our ability to ever project our power and will in the world, again...forget it.
We may as well decommission every aircraft carrier and B-2 if we run from Iraq.
We may as well build a massive wall around America and cut the phone lines to the rest of the world if we run from Iraq.
