"Yuk! Chertoff, the lobbyist lawyer. Just a mutual admiration society in DC!"

From Day One, Chertoff has always been part of the problem and never part of the solution. He is an absolute disgrace.

Unbelievable.

We need way more tougher Republicans in D.C., like Duncan Hunter.

I give up. What's "Republican" about Mike Chertoff?

Kennedy celebrated by meeting with several families affected by the March raid on illegal immigrants in New Bedford . "They're still reeling from that," Kennedy said. "When I told them the bill would make them safe and secure, you should have seen the look in their eyes. They knew they didn't have to be scared."

Not to be unkind, but I WANT them to be scared. They are lawbreakers and illegals who have no right to be here.

It seems the recent immigration crackdown is finally having an effect - a small effect. Illegals don't wave the American flag upside down next to a Mexican flag at rallies. They don't go on TV and scream (in Spanish) that they are illegal and 'what are you going to do about it?!'

And here to bring us defeat from the jaws of victory are the Democrats and a few Republican who didn't do anything about immigration despite controlling both houses of Congress under a Republican President for 6 years.

Jubilant yesterday, Senators Mel Martinez (left), Lindsey O. Graham, and Edward M. Kennedy had spent hours in sometimes heated negotiations to craft a compromise bill on immigration. (CHIP SOMODEVILLA/GETTY IMAGES)

Yesterday, the two Cabinet secretaries -- both of whom have been subjects of Kennedy broadsides in the past -- lauded the Democrats' aging lion.........

Broadsides??? LOL! Could we have a new nickname for The Swimmer? Naaa, too complimentary!!!
