Tulsa - A child found unconscious with his mouth and nose covered in tape at a Tulsa day care has died.
The child was found Thursday afternoon when police went to the home-run day care. A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Vicki Chiles a day earlier on a separate charge of abusing a minor child.
Police say Chiles had seven children in her home when she was arrested Thursday afternoon. One, a two-year-old boy, was found unresponsive and with his mouth and nose covered with masking tape.
Chiles was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of injury to a minor child. She is being held without bond. The charges could be upgraded now that the child has died.
Jesus wept.
That is just horrible..prayers for the child’s family.

I can't even imagine what it would take for an adult to do this to a little kid.
There would have to be more to this -- a 2-yo kid is perfectly capable of removing masking tape from his mouth and nose. His arms would have had to be immobilized as well.

And hopefully making us all think twice before dropping our children off at these places.

A 2-year-old Tulsa boy has died after being found unconscious and tied up at a daycare in Tulsa.
Daycare operator Vicki Chiles has been arrested and told police she tied the boy's hands with masking tape and put tape over his mouth because he wouldn't stay quiet for nap time.
A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Vicki Chiles a day earlier on a separate charge of abusing a minor child.

Seriously, I strongly suspect that that is her, given the rather uncommon name, the Oklahoma connection, and she appears to be about the right age.
