Probably the late Celtic period.
We are talking about 7,000 to 9,000 years ago. According to a recent scientific report the genes that make white folks into white folks had not even come into being at the time.
The following link mentions a set of symbols discovered in 2003 on turtle shell artifacts dating 8,600 years ago, excavated at the Jiahu site in the central Chinese province of Henan. I’m surprised that they completely forgot to mention them, as they predate or are at least contemporary with the Ningxia Damaidi symbols, and resemble later Chinese characters as well.
