Not to mention Islamist groups suchas the GIA killed Muslim algerians by the thousands in the 1990s. Many immigrants that came to France since, or even before these horrible times, have parents or friends who were either killed, wounded, or simply threatened by the Islamists.
When all is said and done, Islamist groups probably killed a thousand times as many Muslims as they killed Jews or Christians. Regardless of their positions on other issues, I doubt many Muslims want Imams to run the show in Europe the way they pretebnded to run it in Algeria or Afganistan.
