Ehrenstein, who is black, also believes that Limbaugh is transparent in his actions. It's obvious he is trying to hitch onto the Imus controversy and bait people into paying attention to him, he says.

A few problems with that theory. The article and subsequent parody came out before Imus' comments. Second, Rush and Shanklin have been making fun of liberals for the last 20 years or so. Third, Rush is and always has been the number one rated nationally syndicated radio talk show. He doesn't need to "hitch onto" anyone to get people to pay attention.

They also apparently didn't know that Joe Biden called Obama "new and clean" or that the WHOLE song is a parody of what a LIBERAL BLACK GAY guy wrote about Barack. Don't reporters have the internet? I don't think this has anything to do with Rush...directly that is.

Since the Imus debacle, these types of pieces keep surfacing from time to time in an effort to fan the flames for support of the so-called "Fairness Doctrine."

This "Guy" is just a tool. Look for more of these types of hit pieces in the future.

Remember: It's not the nature of the evidence, it's the seriousness of the charge.

Rush actually did the Magic Negro story like a week before the song came out, then when he did the song, he talked about the LA piece before he aired it.

Yea I heard it the day Rush read the LA Times Magic Negro story .. The take off on Puff the Magic Dragon was so natural, I was singing my own takeoff before they even mention doing a song a few minutes later, the LA Times Magic Negro story was just so silly.

I think you are 180 degrees off the mark on that one, and are not giving them the credit of their coniving abilities. They know exactly what it is in reality (as you describe). But they also believe that maybe they can make an issue of it and get Rush PC'd out like Imus. No, they see this as an opportunity, nothing more.

I searched for more pics of David Ehrenstein and he is more black than he appears in the posted photo.

I would say he's probably half-and-half, perhaps something like Osama Obama. I'm not sure, though, what Obama calls himself.

Ehrenstein's homosexual lover is white, and is referred to as his "partner".
