Another campaign operative joins the forum for pure political reasons.

Yeah, but which campaign?

Ron Paul won both debates so far and in no way should be censored for his speech which can be backed up with documented evidence gathered by our very own CIA for crying out loud. Rudy made a big mistake by jumping on something that proves he didn't even read the 9/11 commision report. The people trying to ban him from the debates now are just as ignorant as he is.

LOL! With the assistance of the RP spam machine, well-known to every radio talk show host and web administrator -- and with a hearty assist from 9/11 truthers, among whom Paul has an impressive following.

I say give him a shovel and let him keep digging.  Maybe some adventurous debate moderator can ask him about such pressing matters as the Kennedy assassination, the Skull and Bones Society conspiracy, or where Barbara Olsen and her fellow passengers are being held captive.

Keep him in the debates: the entertainment possibilities are endless.

I’m not an operative for anyone, Sword. It wouldn’t make sense if I were. All the candidates, but particularly the moderates/liberals can potentially benefit from Paul’s inclusion to burnish their anti-terrorism credentials. I don’t think as a voter I benefit from that though. This too is an illustration of Paul’s ability to deplete the political value by inclusion in the debate. If all candidates disagree with him, he draws no distinctions between them by airing his views. If anything, he equilibrates them.

A couple of people mentioned Rudy’s inapplicability in the debate. Note he was able to use Paul’s inclusion to appeal directly to a base that he doesn’t share many other points of agreement with, on one point that he did, because opposition to Paul’s idea is almost universal in the GOP. Paul reduced the debate down to common denominators and Rudy benefited. I anticipate this will happen more than once in future too.
