--snip-- We must not sell out, and we must fight for the rights of our people that have been here!" he shouted, a crowd of 50 or so cheering and applauding as the short speech closed. "This is our land and we're going to fight for just and humane comprehensive immigration reform!" --snip La Raza, LULAC and the union issued a news release announcing the town hall meeting that was an ultimatum. They said U.S. Sens. Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn, R-Texas, were "on notice" that "we want workable reform and we want it now!"

The only borders that we used to recognize are the natural borders of rivers, mountains, lakes, deserts, not these international boundaries that this colonial government has set up by dividing our land," he said

It's a good thing all the illegals live in the shadows or we might not know how they really feel..

This is OUR land?

That’s funny, I thought it was the land of law-abiding citizens.

Now I hear that anyone can go anywhere and claim the land as theirs.

I want Cozemal.

I haven’t heard from anyone on either side who’s happy with that idiotic bill . . . except John McCain and Ted Kennedy and a few other goofy politicians. I heard this one guy on TV from the pro-illegal camp complaining that this bill was not family friendly. Oh, brother! What about our families - tax paying, law abiding, hard working Americans.

This is our land

WHAT?!? It's not been your land since g-g-grandpa and a couple cousins hauled your sorry chicken arsed president in front of Sam Houston nearly 200 years ago.

The scary thing is, as bad as the proposed bill is, it will end up being just a starting point, unless we get active and SOON to counter the likes of La Raza and put the GOP on notice that they either congeal around fighting illegal immigration - or the party dies and a new one will take its place.

Has anyone seen how much money it is going to cost the U.S. tax payers to implement this “bill”? When reading the proposed bill you will find dollars mentioned but so far no total amount that this is going to cost us or what the Federal Budget for this bill will be.

They are our palestinian problem. While there may be not organized threat of violence it seems like a lot of them feel that they have a right to attack Americans.

Further, a real look at history shows that they didn’t have ancestors here. When the states went to war with Mexico, Mexicans living in the northern territories willingly changed sides to become American. Mexico left them here as placeholders and forgot about them and they welcomed the American military with open arms.

From my reading of history the American military didn’t encounter any real resistance until they reached the area around Mexico city. For the most part, the people of present day northern Mexico welcomed American soldiers.

La Raza is a lie.

OMG! Before this is settled, we're liable to see the U.S. Air Force on the 6 o'clock news running tactical air strikes in down town Los Angeles.

I couldn’t get the link to work, I guess it was just more La Raza reconquista rhetoric. Bush can handle THAT alone these days.

Yes, RR’s a flower among the weeds. And in retrospect, he thought his (mini) amnesty plan sucked, Jorge has done one-upped him with this times twenty.

If this were a colonial government, the land that is now Mexico would long have been ours. The nation which won the war (the war which began with Mexican armies invading United States territory) did NOT colonize the loser nation, but instead PAID the loser nation for the land which you now pretend is yours, and left you an independent nation with the land which is actually yours.

Indeed; this just a "starting point". In the final version of the bill the US government will have to give illegals an official apology, back pay, reparations for all their hardships..
