A nationalist opposition leader in Georgia was shot dead Sunday in the ex-Soviet republic’s capital Tbilisi, a local television station reported.
Guram Sharadze, a former member of parliament and the leader of the “Faith, Motherland and Language” party, was shot five times, the Imedi television network reported.
Police detained a suspect in the killing, Georgi Barateli, not far from the scene, the network reported. Barateli, born in 1977, had previously worked with Sharadze’s son, who was killed several years ago, it said.
There was no information on a possible motive for the killing.
Sharadze, 67, was as an arch-conservative who had led protests against closer ties with the West. He was a staunch supporter of the Georgian Orthodox Church and was well-known for his vocal opposition to minority religious organizations, in particular Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Sunday’s killing follows the murder on April 19 of Guela Meladze, the leader of the small Mdzlelevi (Winner) opposition party, who was shot five times outside his apartment in Tbilisi.

I’m befuddled by this statement. Are you saying there is or is not a conspiracy? If you would like to elaborate, I would be happy to read more. I read the articles and found them interesting.
It seems that opposition leadership in Georgia could be hazardous to one’s health.
anyone that doesn’t like soros,
can’t be all bad.
Don’t throw that socialist pig in our faces, he is a product of the continent, not Freedom.
There is no such conspiracy, but the followers of the Russian Orthodox Church believes that everybody are against the Russian state/ideology = Mother Russia.
Thanks for the info.
