PREMEDITATED MERGER: North America 'partnership' fast-tracked in border bill

Calls for speedier regional economic integration between U.S., Mexico

WASHINGTON – The controversial "Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007," which would grant millions of illegal aliens the right to stay in the U.S. under certain conditions, contains provisions for the acceleration of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, a plan for North American economic and defense integration, WND has learned.

The bill, as worked out by Senate and White House negotiators, cites the SPP agreement signed by President Bush and his counterparts in Mexico and Canada March 23, 2005 – an agreement that has been criticized as a blueprint for building a European Union-style merger of the three countries of North America.

"It is the sense of Congress that the United States and Mexico should accelerate the implementation of the Partnership for Prosperity to help generate economic growth and improve the standard of living in Mexico, which will lead to reduced migration," the draft legislation states on page 211 on the version time-stamped May 18, 2007 11:58 p.m.

Since agreement on the major provisions of the bill was announced late last week, a firestorm of opposition has ignited across the country. Senators and representatives are reporting heavy volumes of phone calls and emails expressing outrage with the legislation they believe represents the largest "amnesty" program ever contemplated by the federal government.

In its current form, the bill would offer probationary legal status to the estimated 15 million to 20 million illegal aliens who were in the U.S. before Jan. 1, 2007. Those who then met a series of requirements — including payment of a $5,000 fine and $2,000 in processing fees — could gain citizenship within an estimated 12 to 13 years.

I just looked in detail at Hugh’s “analysis” of Title IV.
He doesn’t bother to even mention all of this “bilateral” generosity for Mexico. Go figure!

Thanks! I forgot about Cornyn and his “investment fund.”

I’m really sick of our tax dollars being considered Congress’s piggy bank for their international folly (and domestic folly, too!).

Pastor is following the model of Jean Monnet and the actions he took over several decades that finally resulted in the European Union. All the while, he and his communist associates deny the goals. Sickening.

"Funny, everybody seems to hate it for one reason or another—both left and right."

Could that be because it and it's authors/promoters all three simply suck??? It's all so un-American as to be alien!!!

I just wish Schwartzenegger was tied directly to this one so's he'd be goin down in flames with it instead of the POTUS!!!

It's as if the wheels weren't coming off CA and the nation fast enough without these supposed Republicans loosening the lug nuts every day a little more... It's fast changing from God Bless America, to God Save America!!! (whatever happened to "God Save The Queen?")

Well, personally... I’ve never thought Hew Hewitt was ever “all there!” He’s just a publicity parasite that’s a mile wide and a milimeter deep!!!

The draft language is on the Library of Congress website.

And the actual bill *typically* uses the draft language as a starting point or template, rather than starting from scratch.

BTW, as has already been pointed out, they are pushing for cloture tomorrow.

Cheers!

It’s obviously not true, because there’s no source, no supplied link, no information provided to verify. Thus, whenever someone does that, they’re just giving you “smoke and mirrors”...

If it were true and verifiable, they would have given you a verifiable source (one which doesn’t sell tin foil to their members, that is...).

I like to think for myself from time to time. Try it, it's fun once you get the hang of it.

In the very recent past, posters on this very forum were derided as "conspiracy kooks" for warning that Bush's intent was to destroy the sovereignty of our Country for the sake of this bastard "union."

In the very recent past, the Heritage Foundation was being derided as part of the "conspiracy." Now look.

After reading through this statement, what is happening on our border and our total lack of enforcement in our interior all makes sense now. Our government has long been aiding and abetting the entire illegal immigration undocumented worker scam now turning this country inside out and into a turd world cesspool.

It's all about taking care of the narco-state of Mexico's problems.

Now that's sneaky. And folks were wondering how SPP could get passed.
Slip it in somewhere else, don't make it a stand alone bill.
Nothig new.

“Could get passed?” Do you mean SPP, or NAU? The two are not synonymous. People who treat them as such are later astonished to be labeled conspiracists (justifiably), as some of the confused comments above show.
