Battle has barely started.

That was just helping to lay out the manner in which
it will be fought. More time is better for opponents.

The only way this can pass is with Republicans in the Senate voting for it.

Contact your State Republican Party Chairman and let him or her know how you feel about this AMNESTY BILL,and what you will do with your donations and votes if this passes.

This goes above devotion to a party, this is a fight for America.

From the AP story:

“The White House has begun an active lobbying effort to drum up support for the measure, especially among Republicans who voted against an immigration overhaul last year.

President Bush is still hoping to sign the bill by summer’s end, said Tony Fratto, a White House spokesman.

“This is a very high priority for the president,” Fratto told reporters in Crawford, Texas. “We know that this is an emotional issue for members on both sides of political parties and both sides of the ideological spectrum, but we hope that we can find common ground.””

Jorge is still showing his true colors, even in the face of the people he represents opposing this!! Unbelievable!

Maybe maybe not...

Call Sen McConnell and get in his ear about having as many amendments as possible and about getting them to OPPOSE THIS BILL WITH A FILIBUSTER IF POSSIBLE. I dont think it is too late. Cloture vote will have to happen later once the amendments are considered.

Time for a “Build the Fence You Approved in 2006” movement.

Absolutely. Build the fence! Those are the exact words I scrawled on my reply to RNC telling them why they would not get another dime from me.

The story is that the Dims have figured out that they loose big time if it passes.

The unions will rebel, the voters will rebel, only the trans-national corporazi like this bill.

Can anybody verify this? I just received the information that 5 Presidential candidates skipped this very important cloture vote:

Clinton
Obama
McCain
Dodd
Biden

And, yes, McCain belongs in the middle of the Democrats.

Looks like some presidential candidates conveniently skipped a controversial vote.

I hope they keep debating it until next year!

The democrats wanted this done by today hoping that it would off the minds of the American voters. The media will try to get immigration off the minds of people for the next election but it will be hard if this immigration bill drags on.

“NO AMNESTY for Employers or Employees!”

Take it about 3 steps further... Put employers in jail, put landlords in jail, cut off welfare for illegals, cut off drivers licenses for illegals, and for GODS sake, English only in school, the workplace, and in government.

In Other words, make the U.S. not a nice place to try to live in illegally.

I had another thought.... The illegals wouldn’t go back to their country if we gave them $5,000, What makes Kennedy and President Bush think they will Pay a $5,000 fine?

.....Bob
