No, I did not know Bush’s position before the 2004 election. And I am a very politically aware Texan. I believed him when he said that he would never support amnesty.
Yes you are correct. Others here either are blind, can’t read or are glossing over what the bill says so far.
No, Bush was not honest. He said that he would never support amnesty. He is the hypocrite, not us.
i see that you are a one issue person....i for one am very happy this man is standing between my family and terrorist. can’t say that about too many democrats. you’re welcome to your opinion and i have a right to mine, neither will change. but, even when i get a disappointment from a family member or friend, i don’t turn my back on them and call them names, seems to me you wouldn’t have very many friends or family talking to you that way. why don’t you get angry at the people who actually wrote this bill? let them know how you feel...
We wont get fooled again.RR gave them amnesty with the understanding the borders would be secured. That did not happen Why? Congress didnt want to.It has gotten so much worse that if we could impeach bush over the bordercaos I would be all for it.Sometimes you really gotta raise some hell to get those bastards in washington to listen.
there really is no amnesty in this bill...taking 8 years to become legal and paying fines is not walking away free...my agruement would be no people who have served jail time.
hhhmmm....that would be 90% of the democrats
Yeah right.
I think you need to cite line numbers for these items. There's provision for reinforcing existing fences, apparently rebuilding Duncan Hunter's fence, and Giuliani's laughable "virtual" fence.
The May 18th version of the bill is available at http://www.firesociety.com/article/12134 and includes the following items in its initial outline:
i don’t see the bill...i see what someone is telling you what the bill says...there just might be a differnce.
Find it. Read it. Understand it (if you think you can). But I’ve made my decision.
i’m not going to turn my back on this man....he is a fantasic person, and loves this nation. you can think whatever you want, but you and your friends like you will ‘vote’ hitlary into office....then we’ll see what real amnesty is! That is if we aren’t ducking low flying jumbo jets!
I believe his ‘comprehensive plan’ always has what you would call amnesty in it.
“Not unless you also impeach every member of Congress whose votes caused the legislation to pass. “
Good idea! Lets throw out the lot of ‘em.
He’s turned his back on you. Thirty million illegal aliens are more important to him than your family is. And he sees a unified, open trade zone encompassing first Canada/America/Mexico and then the world. Your beloved America may cease to exist before your grandchildren are born.
so because i don’t agree with YOU, you question my IQ??? Wow, that’s so grown up of you. and it says alot about your personality too.
Where did I question your intelligence? I’m asking you to download the PDF file as I have and look at it. Tell me which lines say that a whole fence across the entire border will be built. I can show you a mentioning of 14 miles of fence at line 10 in section 103. Tell me where the others are.
what i’d really like is to build a bubble over this country and tell the rest of the world to go to he!!, but that ain’t gonna happen. we have a 12 million people problem, if they can’t find 11,999,999 of them how do you think they are going to kick them all out????
I would have voted yes for one issue where he is committing a high crime in my opinion, but that wasn’t an option so I didn’t vote.
