The lefist courts are able to screw it up because congress and the states have let them. The courts do not have jurisdiction.

As I said (and I think we are agreeing on principle) the courts have to adjudicate every deportation case. Typically, they let the defendant (illegal) out on their own recognizance, knowing full well they will never come back. So, in this way, the courts do have a means of circumventing even the toughest policy. Congress, state or national, cannot write a law interfering with a judge's discretion. This has been attempted before with criminal legislation and mandatory sentencing and, of course, has always been found unconstitutional, by a judge, and sent back to congress to change the language. So, yes, the courts can, have, and will screw things up. They cannot, however, grant an illegal the right to work. This has already been vetted nationally in right to work cases seeking to circumvent union strangle holds. Anyway, my point is: no jobs/no illegals. This kind of legislation should be expanded to homeowners as well. Though more difficult, there should be a way of policing the labor force in affluent areas as well to purge the use of illegals.
