My break was a compund fracture both tib and fib were broken. The doctors needed to take some muscle from my stomach and skin from my thigh to cover up my lower leg. All together I went through approx 6 surgeries.

As soon as you said “coumpound fracture” that was enough to make me say “OUCH”, and imagine the pain , and graphic images.
The word “surgery” (not to mention 6) is even worse.
