I’ve always liked him - he played good roles in “Of Mice and Men”, “The Stand”, and especially the bad guy in Mel Gibson’s “Ransom”.
He directed that movie too.
He also directed (but didn't star in) a movie called "Miles From Home" (1988) that's worth checking out.
