Well, I’ve always been torn over whether Pres Carter or President Clinton was worse. I tended to put Pres Clinton as the worst, due to selling the missile secrets to the Chinese. Certainly the wreck of Iran is due to Pres Carter, as is the loss of the Panama Canal. But the point about Afghanistan happening due to Pres Carter then leading to al-Qaeda probably tips the balance toward him. And he did all this in 4 years—Clinton had 8 years.

Depends how you define “worst.” If “worst” is defined as “did most damage to the republic” then the worst president is FDR, without a doubt.
