Iran: Carter's Habitat For Inhumanity
Investors Business Daily ^ | 5/24/07 | Investors Business Daily

When President Carter took office in 1977, the Iran of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was a staunch American ally, a bulwark in our standoff with the Soviet Union, thwarting the dream held since the time of the czars of pushing south toward the warm waters of the appropriately named Persian Gulf.

Being an ally of the U.S. in the Cold War, Iran was a target for Soviet subversion and espionage. Like the U.S. in today's war on terror, Iran arrested and incarcerated many who threatened its sovereignty and existence, mainly Soviet agents and their collaborators.

This did not sit well with the former peanut farmer, who, on taking office, declared that advancing "human rights" was among his highest priorities. The shah was one of his first targets. As he's done with our terror-war detainees in Guantanamo, Carter accused the Shah of torturing some 3,000 "political" prisoners. He chastised the shah for his human rights record and engineered the withdrawal of American support.

The irony here is that when Khomeini, a former Muslim exile in Paris, overthrew the shah in February 1979, many of the 3,000 were executed by the ayatollah's firing squads along with 20,000 pro-Western Iranians.

If Bush signs the immigration bill, he’ll be a close second to Jimmah.

*Ping-a-ling-a-ling!*

I seem to recall that you were asking how Carter stabbed the Shah in the back, Investors Business Daily seems to have spared me the effort of having to educate you in this regard.

You can however, keep your ‘extra points’, I have no use for them.

Enjoy your day.

He also managed to stab the entire nation of Nicaragua in the back. As one Nicaraguan asked, "Is it possible that your President is actually a Communist?"

Interesting you should bring that up.

When one surveys the damage that was done to the United States economy, the cavalier attitude of Carter to the military (i.e., cancellation of the B-1 bomber, thankfully resurrected by Reagan, the SAME B-1 bomber that has been in service during the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq), in addition to the give away of the Panama Canal (now in control by Communist Chinese proxies of the PLA), unilateral termination the mutual defense treaty between Taiwan and the U.S. and fully embraced the ChiComs in Beijing, and of course the betrayal of the Shah of Iran, there are only two logical conclusions that can be drawn:

Jimmy Carter was a Soviet mole who hit the jackpot by actually making it all the way to the Oval Office.

or...

Jimmy Carter was (and remains) a Communist sympathizer who has only nice things to say about the likes of Castro, Chavez, etc., while condemning authoritarian (but U.S. friendly) regimes and deep down in whatever passes for his soul, hates and despises the American people for flushing his traitorous ass out of the White House and replacing him with a REAL patriot and a REAL American, Ronald Reagan.

If Carter had been re-elected to a second term as President in 1980, I have serious doubts that America would exist in any form we might recognize, his perfidy knows no bounds.
