If you slip enough enforcement into it, the dims will walk away from it... the bill dies... so many here are short sighted.

Perhaps, but it will be the result of unintended consequences. Both Texas senators are under enormous pressure from El Presidente and the cheap labor crowd in the state. If it dies, fine, but it won't be due to a principled stance from the senate or the house.
