Well that mystery has finally been solved. :)
Scraped off her seat with a spoon
Great minds think alike.
I was actually going to write something like “a pile of crap that grew arms and legs”, but I’m trying very hard to reign in the vulgarity that rampages in my mind ever time I hear from these pond scum.
Its not working.
David Gregory was the commencement speaker at Kenyon College last weekend (where my child graduated). He was given an honorary degree “For ...excellence in the vital field of journalism”. In his mind, his crowning achievement was asking Chirac a question in French and getting a scowl from George Bush. He explained it this way, “President Bush thinks anyone who speaks French, including the French, is pretentious.” Works for me!
Stalin hoped he could get the French, British and Germans to fight each other to exhaustion in another long war, and he could then pick up the pieces. That’s why the left didn’t want us to intervene. As you said, all that was over after Stalin’s strategy failed after 6/22/1941. Then the left were all ga ga about the “heroic Soviets” and “Uncle Joe.”
I understand why the left acted as it did in 1940; they were under orders from the Kremlin. But today, why help the very people who would kill them first? I guess they hate America more than they love themselves. How sad.
“I was actually going to write something like a pile of crap that grew arms and legs...”
That would be an insult to such piles everywhere.
I agree that Versailles was a very bad treaty. But your argument too much “America had it coming to it on 9/11” ring to it. I know it’s not what you meant, but I’m always careful about blaming the French for Hitler. I prefer to blame Hitler for Hitler. And there were a lot of real and piss-ant wanna-be Hitlers around back then (Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, Antonescu, Horthy, Laval, Hirohito, Chaing, etc...)
I don’t know about “Brave Dave”.
I’ve always thought of him as “JoJo The Dog-faced Boy”.
Commie scum like Pete Seegar protested the American government NOT to go to war against Hitlers Nazi Germany, that is until after Hitler betrayed his beloved mass-murderer, Joseph Stalin.
It wasnt until after this date that Woody Gutherie took a stand against Fascism (as per his newly painted slogan this machine kills fascists on his guitar).
You're right. I was explaining to my daughter just the other day that the only reason we were able to fight WWII successfully is because the US left saw it as a war to save Stalin's ass.
Well, Seeger and Guthrie were loudly against Fascism prior to the Hitler/Stalin pact, then they abruptly changed their tunes. After the invasion of Poland, they switched back.
For another illustration, take a look at Chaplin’s The Great Dictator. (Chaplin was unusual in that he filmed scenes in the order they appeared in the final cut, and he took a long time to make his movies.) The early scenes of the movie are openly anti-Fascist. By the end — the pact now being in place — Charlie looks straight out at the movie audience and makes an impassioned speech, telling them that this is not their war to fight.
Nov.11, 1918 Armistice Day. No winners or losers, just stop fighting. Then the French and British broke their word and treated Germany as the loser (so did the USofA). They took land and money from the “loser”. It didn’t take much to get the Germans (or any country) ripe for revenge. Lying and betrayal brought on the National Socialist.
Was that the actual poll question?
I saw a poll where over 8% believe the WTC towers are still standing. A 2001 Gallup poll showed 33% of people believe in flying saucers. The Flat Earth Society has over 3000 members. According to a 1999 Gallup poll, 6 percent of the US public believed the first moon landing was faked.
David’s not worried about his kids, he intends to donate YOURS!!
Can’t top that one.
I heap most of the blame for Hitler on the German population. He was elected on a open platform of ending democracy. But the ToV was the Chinese water torture that was bound to back Germany in a corner eventually. Even the British knew the German people would soon consider all hope lost and do something irrational.
“I fully recognize that after 9/11, the calm here at home, relatively speaking, you know, caused some to say, “Well, maybe we’re not at war.” I know that’s a comfortable position to be in. But that’s not the truth.”
Well then maybe, just maybe, Mister President, you shouldn’t have suggested in the days just following 9/11 that civilian America’s part in the war on terror was to go to the mall and keep shopping. And maybe, just maybe, Mister President, your going to Congress and getting a declaration of war might have gone a lone way towards America believing and supporting the notion that a war was actully going on.
“Then the French and British broke their word and treated Germany as the loser (so did the USofA). They took land and money from the loser.’
No.
The UK and the US did not insist on collecting war debts from Germany when the economy began tanking. France insisted and began hauling assets out of Germany as reparations. Your conceptions need an overhaul.
Am I wrong?
Yes - I believe she gave birth to a cow (now known as Rosie).
