Dear Mexican: I was going through a local state college's academic program the other day and found that they offer a bachelor's degree in Chicano Studies. My question is in what field of work would someone with a bachelor's in Chicano Studies land? Here are a few jobs I came up with: working at a lowrider or tattoo shop. Designing Virgin de Guadalupe T-shirts. Make Loc's shades. Work for Nike in their Cortez shoe department. Design a Web page like Mapquest, but only to show popular cruising routes in the city.

Chicano Studies, Women’s Studies, African-American Studies... These majors simply prepare new academics who can perpetuate and further the victimhood of their particular sect and continue to demonize whites and Western civilization, all while insulated in the ivory tower. Totally bogus fields of study which will go by the wayside in fifty years, if our civilization endures.
A political consultant for the Republicrats or for the Demicans?
Agriculture, construction, food service, or hotel operations
You could work for La Raza to oversee the return to Mexico of all the land taken in the Mexican War of 1847. If you speak Spanish, you could help with the repatriation of all those displaced Mexicans and the restoration of their land titles.

The page at that link is quite funny.
Just how did the term Chicano originate?
This is just screaming for a Gubbermit job
You would be medically qualified to remove lead slugs from your own ass.
When Aztlan come, ju gon’ be hurtin’ esse.
Absolutely. They're primed for a career in bureaucratic extortion to extract the largest possible welfare $$$ for these toilet republic refugees.

Q: What do you do when a philosophy major shows up on your doorstep?
A: Pay him for the pizza and don’t forget to tip.
I would sooner rig major buildings in that land for demolition than give it to them open-handed.
“Ask the Mexican” is a column in the local ‘independent’ newspaper Dallas Observer here (which I believe is connected to the Dallas Morning News somehow, so not so independent)—it’s got a stereotypical logo of a Mexican complete with sombrero, etc. It sounds like this is the same column author—think ‘satire’ or ‘parody’...unless it is REALLY a Mexican trying to foment “Aztlan 4EVER!” kind of reactions. Who knows nowadays?
“...it remains a word with strong political associations. Since these politics are not necessarily espoused by all Mexican Americans...”
It means those who are “down with the struggle”.
That is worthless to cultural heritage groups. It demands you subscribe to the right (liberal) politics.
It’s a real hispanic author. He’s doing a book tour these days. And he’s a lib.
He takes pleasure is spouting bigotry in jest.
That picture needs to be photoshopped, I can’t see all the illegals because they are hiding in the shadows!!!!
