A: Pay him for the pizza and dont forget to tip.
hahahahahahaha!
in the Chicano Roots and Culture class i took 20 years ago, my instructor said it comes from the word, "Mexicano." the "x" was pronounced "ch/sh" in some Mexican cultures... so it was "Mechicano or Meshicano." and then from there, derived Chicano... i remember that he also said something about the word "Mechican"--i think the "ch" is pronounced "sh" and it came from the Spaniard's pronunciation of "Mexican" or "Mejican."
btw--we never used the word "Chicano" in my parents home while growing up...
I'd guess you have not visited Los Angeles lately.
Hint: they are not the minority anymore.
If my daughters try to get degrees in the first two, I won’t help pay for their college education. I’ll tell them when they get to high school.
LOL!
I just did a search on the Bandito. I didn’t know that the Frito Bandito character was created by the famous animator, Tex Avery, who did Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.
Funny that song stuck in my head after all these years. I guess I was about 9-10 years old at that time.
Fritos are still one of my favorite snacks, so I guess I am a Gringo Frito Bandito!
Yes but!! There are enough leftists that support this educational inanity so that, in the meantime, we will be forced into paying inordinately high taxes to pay for their inability to support themselves with these worthless degrees....
Republicrats or for the Demicans?
Jorge el Segundo’s chief of staff!
(Are you on line 24/7? LOL. See ya on the other thread tonite)
Being a minority is a state of existence or a profession, not some actual enumeration of the population as it called for in the Constitution (something else they don’t believe in literally).
If you don’t want quotas, you aren’t ‘black’ either no matter how dark your parents were. And as long as you are an ‘oppressed’ group, you are still a minority.
I did escape a decade ago from the San Fernando Valley so I’m pretty much up to speed with who is actually a minority in So Cal these days. Its you and me gunner.
