I too was in Viet Nam with the First Division although from 1965 to 66. have always been proud of my time with them. go First Division. would be proud to serve again, but old age somehow creeped up on me while i was not looking.

I went over as a replacement for you guys A. Co, 2/16th Inf. I was truly impressed by their professionalism and it affected my service for the next 2o years. it is true, war is a young mans job, when you get older it comes a lot harder. I worked in Iraq as security and if I had to wear all that armor and gear those guys did and fight too I would have dropped over dead from exhaustion, they are truely remarkable.
