Muslim paramilitary compounds springing up around America
One News Now ^ | May 21, 2007 | Chad Groening

Posted on 05/25/2007 5:32:55 PM PDT by Tolerance Sucks Rocks

A U.S. defense analyst and author says Americans should be very concerned about some radical Muslim paramilitary compounds that have sprung up around the country and that are surrounded with "No Trespassing" signs.

Hear This Report

Greg Copley, president of the International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA), says the compounds are often populated with former U.S. convicts who were converted to Islam in prison. These convicts, he contends, are connected to a Pakistani organization.

"Islamberg in New York, Ahmedabad in Virginia, and Holy Islamville in South Carolina, and so on are places which have been formed largely by Jamaat ul-Fuqra," Copley notes, "which is a fundamentalist jihadist movement, which has been involved in terrorist activity and supporting terrorist activity."

The U.S. government has been monitoring the organization's activities, the ISSA official says. "The U.S. government, for example, claimed that ul-Fuqra members were involved in more than a dozen bombings and arson attacks during the 1980s and 1990s," he points out, and that members were "possibly responsible for a couple dozen homicides, and possibly linked to the murder of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was killed in Pakistan."

Jamaat ul-Fuqra, which means "community of the impoverished," recruits converts from the U.S. prison system, the defense analyst says. "They're a very big international group," he asserts. "They do have connections to fundamentalist groups in Pakistan."

There is also evidence that ul-Fuqra may have been linked to shoe-bomber Richard Reid, Copley adds. He says he believes U.S. authorities should thoroughly investigate and keep a watch on the activities of these Muslim compounds that are located in America but connected to a Pakistani jihadist movement.

Hancock, NY - Radical Muslim Paramilitary Compound Flourishes In Upper New York State.

Hancock, NY 2007-05-15 - Situated within a dense forest at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains on the outskirts of Hancock, New York, Islamberg is not an ideal place for a summer vacation unless, of course, you are an exponent of the Jihad or a fan of Osama bin Laden.

The 70 acre complex is surrounded with "No trespassing" signs; the rocky terrain is infested with rattlesnakes; and the woods are home to black bears, coyotes, wolves, and a few bobcats

Venturing into the complex last summer, Douglas Hagmann, an intrepid investigator and director of the Northeast Intelligence Service, came upon a military training area at the eastern perimeter of the property. The area was equipped with ropes hanging from tall trees, wooden fences for scaling, a make-shift obstacle course, and a firing range. Hagmann said that the range appeared to have been in regular use.

Islamberg is a branch of Muslims of the Americas Inc., a tax-exempt organization formed in 1980 by Pakistani cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who refers to himself as "the sixth Sultan Ul Faqr," Gilani, has been directly linked by court documents to Jamaat ul-Fuqra or "community of the impoverished," an organization that seeks to "purify" Islam through violence.

Over the years, numerous members of Jamaat ul-Fuqra have been convicted in US courts of such crimes as conspiracy to commit murder, firebombing, gun smuggling, and workers' compensation fraud. Others remain leading suspects in criminal cases throughout the country, including ten unsolved assassinations and seventeen fire-bombings between 1979 and 1990.

I would start with the US prison population that is a hatchery for Muslim converts.

Personally I am not bothered too much, if any one of these nutcases is firmly connected to a terrorist action in the US it would be a massive big mistake for them.

CAIR's response:

These are men's retreats for those seeking a better path in life after years of wrong decisions and social disadvantages. They are not unlike the mens' retreats so helpful to the fellowships of many Evangelical Church organizations. The majority of the activities deal with spiritual awareness and self realization. The team building exercises have been mischaracterized by those who seek to incite violence on the American Muslim community- a community that has already suffered so much from wanton paranoia since the unfortunate events of 2001.

I went to the islamville website and as an aside I noticed a story about them completing a 12 mile hike and all the great things they do at their complex, yada, yada.

I checked another site that mentioned islamville was 6 miles west of the nuke plant outside of York, SC and that there was also a conclave near the Dover TN site.

Then a thought crossed my mind. If islamville is six miles west of the plant in York, a twelve mile hike would be six miles in and six miles out. Scary.

I checked another site that mentioned islamville was 6 miles west of the nuke plant outside of York, SC and that there was also a conclave near the Dover TN site.

The compound near Dover is on the south side of the Cumberland River, near Cumberland City (a coal power plant location). Ft Campbell (101st Air Assault Division and 5th SFG)is a mere one hour drive away. There are also strategic locks and dams up and down the Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers nearby that service coal barges and other commercial waterway traffic to the Ohio River.

So, a sniper shot one of these folks from outside, what would they do, call the cops? And if they shot 2 or 3 or more, what would they do? Just a hypothetical question.

You would think that at least in SC they would clean these compounds out and round up those that live there. There is a law against ex-felons hanging out together especially if they are on probation. Right there is one good reason to clean this nest of vipers out.

Not to worry, we got our eye on ‘em.

Right up until they mount a frontal assault on some military compound and dig themselves in. Then they will be in position to make local strikes out into the surrounding countryside. Very shortly, they shall have carved themselves out a small country, and been able to plant enough sabotage machinery around the country to effectively neutralize our power to resist.

Of course, this will have to wait until Bush is gone from office, and the Democratican successor in the Presidency is established. Then, no resistance to this coup will be forthcoming.

“In SC they would clean these compounds out”

So let’s get back to it! I was in the SC Army Guard in the late 70’s and I could fly a helicopter anywhere in the state including directly over nuclear subs in Charleston harbor, and spot and report on all kinds of strange looking s#@t.

If these muzzie terrorist compounds exist in the Palmetto State, let them open fire on a military aircraft coming to investigate, and see what happens.

BTW, South Carolina is NOT a muzzie-friendly state.

Why wait for Janet Reno? A few weeks of dry weather, a little forest arson when the wind is right. With careful placement, the Islamic jihadists might even be the ones to get blamed for it.

Like someone mentioned above, what authorities are the Muslims going to call?

Considering what a good job Karl Rove did, using his insidious weather control machine to steer Katrina into New Orleans, steering a forest fire should be a piece of cake.

“Looks like Janet Reno’s raid on the Waco compound may have set a precedent for future raids on such places as in this article.” It’s hard to say, I believe that the Waco debacle was a bad thing. To me it was the federal government literally waging war against its own citizens, as was that nauseating event at Ruby Ridge. Neither the Davidians nor the Weavers are people I’d care to get close to, but I see a greater danger to the country posed by heavy handed federal law enforcement.

With regard to these Islamist camps, I like most people believe that they are up to no good, and I hope that law enforcement is at least aware of them and keeping an eye on them. If these stories are true there is real cause for concern. Those people are cunning, and know how to game the system. Our timidity only emboldens them.

I guess where I’m going with this, is that municipal and county and state governments need to get their heads out of their backsides and wise up to these threats in our midst. They probably have the law enforcement resources to police these places before they become huge problems. They just need the will to do it. A Waco like mess would just create sympathy for them in the media and among the American left. Watching jihadists in this country getting blown to hell would certainly be fun to watch, but politically it would prove counterproductive.
