I get tired of hearing about us being a nation of immigrants as an excuse for importing welfare recipients into this country. In the past immigrants were carefully screened to make sure we got the best people. Now all were doing is relieving mexico(small m intentional) of it’s responsibility to it’s own people.
Not to mention, 80-100 years ago we did not have the massive social welfare state that these illegals will be taking advantage of. The Catholic immigrants of the past even set up their own parochial schools for their children thus not being a burden on the taxpayer.
