Good post. I would add that Mexican immigrants offer something that this country is going to need desperately in the coming decades: CONSUMERS.

I believe there is a tendency here to over-emphasize the "cheap labor" aspect of immigration and overlook the "willing consumer" aspect of it.

The cost they put on our services for outstrip any benefits from their consumerism. Using your logic ,welfare recipients are a great boom for our economy.
