I don't recall beheading being a Mexican practice.
Does anyone familiar with Mexico know if this is something new or just a practice that always was ?
I thought the preferred method of execution and intimidation was a bullet-riddled body, not a beheading.
Severed heads found in Acapulco
From the July 2006 link:
...The latest discoveries bring to six the numbers of severed heads found in the Pacific coast city during 2006.

It's "old school" in Mexico. Beheading and cutting the heart out of your enemies happened. The thing most don't realize is the nice practice of killing all the male members of your family in disputes. All of them...including the little kids/ babies etc...
why?....because you know that when those boys get to be about 14-15 years old, they'll come and get you in order to "become a man" and "avenge a death".
The more recent twist is to kill everybody in your family and kill you last...that way you know that everything you loved is gone and so are you....
Kinda just makes your skin crawl, huh?...
Gang fights, that's what these are, have no "rules" like the Mafia of Italian lore. MS-13 is just a Guatemalan variant....
Always remember one thing when talking to guys that have been in prison, that are "real" gang-bangers...not the wanna-be posers ....they had to KILL SOMEBODY in order to get in. That's the way a gang has control over you... blackmail for a murder rap.
say "hola" to some "cholos"....I was a "pocho" to them and never really had a problem other than my father would have killed me (literally) if I'd hung out with "the guys" on the block.
How do I know???? Lived with it. Went out of town to high school and never looked back.
