That should have been a big story. It is going to be interesting to see which crack up effects which party worse. The immigration crackup on the right or the war funding crack up on the left. The Republican leadership had better get things together well before the election because if Bush signs that immigration bill there is going to be hell to pay. This coming election is going to be one of the most volatile in a long time with no clear winners on either side. If a third party is going to manifest itself it will be now. I’d personally welcome Fred Thompson running as a third Party rather than a Republican. I think the GOP needs to be sent a message, the one they didn’t get when Perot ran. The Democrats of course deserve to be totally wiped out politically. There is no redeeming a party that so throws itself into the arms of the enemy and works to undermine America for the sake of their own power.

As loony as Sheehan is, her leaving the DNC may be a killer to the Dems if she can take some of the America-hating left w her.

This election could be interesting. Hopefully a real conservative 3d party candidate emerges...might have a real chance to win

The MSM is not going to cover this. If Cindy jumped off the demonrat boat the MSM is not going to be her everpresent sounding board any longer. Trust me we have seen the last of Cindy till she comes back to the reservation.

The main reason I vote republican is so I know my vote counts.

I would be 3rd party voter but getting the majority to vote under a 3rd party is difficult.

I I knew for certain that a 3rd party candidate had a change I would change.

I am mostly conservative in my views but I don’t always agree with the way the republican party is headed.

No matter which party crack up first, the other will follow suit soon thereafter. They are both coalitions of disparate special interests.

Like a uranium atom, they are too big and cumbersome and decay is inevitable. That may be a good thing in the long run (more choices for voters) and smaller parties will be able to form alliances, as in most other parliamentary systems in the world.
