It is understandable that he dropped out in 2000 while being treated for cancer. You do have a great point about 2006, though.

Oh, bull. He wasn't stricken enough to resign as mayor, was he?

He was afraid of Hitlery. And with good reason. He couldn't beat her then, he can't beat her now. This is all a big Rudi ego trip (like everything he does) and an attempt to revive the Rockefeller Republican wing and return control of the party to the northeastern liberal Republicans, easily the most repulsive wing of the party and the group whose leadership in key RSCC/RCCC/RNC positions led directly to our 2006 defeat.

If these liberals want to vote for lower taxes and strong national security, we'll welcome their votes. But this is the Party Of Reagan, not the Party Of Rockefeller (and Giuliani).
