It would be nice if we did not have to take on the role as "world police", but I do not trust the UN, EU, China, or the former USSR in that role. If we don't do it, you know someone else will.It would be nice if someone else would take on the role of "world police". Maybe then I wouldn't have to surrender to minimum-wage government employees at the airport who seem to want to inspect the inside of my shoes and underwear.

Libertarians, Pat Buchannon isolationists, and Nutroots from the left.Speak for yourself, there "Nutroot".

Nobody fears Ron Paul.No only do you fear Ron Paul, you fear people like him.

Im sure that Ron Paul is Osama bin Ladens favorite epublican. It would be nice if some "Republican" would advocate attacking Osama Bin Laden rather than the rest of us.

"Do all Ron Paul supporters devolve to name-calling at the first chance?"
....not all, but those that do learned it from the Ron Paul detractors.

So, you are all "victims" of the big, bad Republicans and their running dog lackeys, the Democrats.
All the evil stuff was taught to you by others.
That right there is evidence that you're not really up to the job of governing this country.

Just did a check. Of the 6195 votes for Paul right now, 4063 of them came from this site:Imagine that - the only conservative candidate getting a lot of votes from a conservative website.
To: bnelson44
you’re right that he has libertarian support
his foreign policy views are really very odd....dangerous actually
I have fought pretty hard elsewhere against those who like his worldview
I am not in favor of drug legalisation
yes....I have a problem with civil rights legislation that used the Commerce clause to supercede individual rights to discriminate even if wrongly
and where that has led...but that is just me and yes I realize that most here would disagree with me on that
putting the PC genie back in the bottle is too tall an order for my lifetime
and that argument is unsolvable.....the act is here and all it has brought forth

if Paul wants to run for President, he should do so as a Libertarian.Wrong. If he wants to run for President, he needs to run in whichever manner he thinks he could win.

You should do more researchtry Pat Buchanan, but more so, try the John Birch Society..if that appeals to your tastes, you should dump the Republican Party forever...But dont just leave in name only, just leave, and dont be a RINO. Any candidate who has the party bosses running their mud factory overtime has my interest. They sure cranked it up for Sen. Coburn of Oklahoma.
The RINOs are the ones currently in power, who left the fiscal and Constitutionally-conservative base. Sons of FDR, almost to a man.

I could vote for Ron Paul, but of course I have libertarian tendencies.

“Based upon Pauls previous attempt at the Presidency, Id not worry about him being much of a force in this election.”
Yea, but back then in 1988, Ron was running against a true conservative and Reagan had just stepped down from the plate. Many conservative voters were not alienated.
Can’t say that is the case today.

I was a Ron Paul supporter until he became a Alex Jones clone.

I am starting to think that most "conservatives" simply want A) sweetheart FedGuv bucks for
their projects, and B) an activist court system that tosses a scrap to them on moral issues now and then. I like what RP has to say about having a truly limited FedGov and a truly conservative view of the Constitution.
I will tune into the next debate and see if the others go after him to try to nip him in the bud. If so, then he is onto something. If will be fun watching the big dogs go after a little 3% nobody with a resonant message.

"Just who are Ron Paul Supporters?" Perhaps people who read 1984 and actually understand it.

And people who have a modicum of understanding and support for the U.S. Constitution. I agree. A modicum, but no more.

To: bnelson44
Well many of his supporters that I have spoken to dont seem to know what the purpose of the Judicial Branch and Executive branches are and dont know how the Constitution is amended. That's odd.
Are any of them Freepers?
I would like their names, please.
