Mom, kids found dead in Parker County(Texas)

HUDSON OAKS, Texas — The bodies of a mother and three children were found hanging in a mobile home just outside Weatherford early Tuesday morning.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said a neighbor who went to check on the family discovered the bodies at about 6:30 a.m. An 8-month-old was also found hanging and transported to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, where she was listed in good condition, he said.

After walking down the sidewalk and reading the paper, he starts screaming in horror, runs back to the box, puts in some change, opens the box and returns the paper. It’s easy to feel that way these days.

it appears to be a murder suicide. The mother hung her own 4 kids and killed 3 of them and herself. This mom was 23 and the kids were 5, 3, 2, and 8 months is what I’m hearing. I live about 30-45 minutes from here. How very sad and tragic.

apparently the father didn’t live in the home and he has just been notified. The mother’s sister is the one that found them. She apparently went to check on them at 6:30am when the mother didn’t show up for work and got worried. The kids were found with her hanging in the closet. The news are saying that it appears that if the sister hadn’t arrived when she did the 8 months old would have been dead. Sadly, I think the mother hung her kids sometime early this morning and than herself, but it is still early in the investigation for the cops to say exactly if this was a murder suicide.

This a very tragic story!!! It may be what it looks like a Murder Suicide but it still needs to be investigated to make sure!!!!!

An adult and three children have been found dead this morning in Hudson Oaks, victims of a possible murder-suicide, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said.

Also, an 8-month-old child, was discovered hanging in the home, but the child was rescued and was in good condition at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Fowler said.

The bodies were found by a neighbor at about 6:25 a.m. at the Oak Hill Mobile Home Park, Fowler said.

``We got a mess,’’ Fowler said.

NBC 5 television reported that the bodies were those of a 23-year-old mother and her three daughters, ages 5, 3 and 2.

The station reported that the mother’s sister discovered the bodies, which were hanging in a closet. The station reported that authorities had contact the woman's ex-husband.

The sheriff said at 9:30 a.m. that he had just arrived at the mobile home park where the bodies were found.

Other details about the victims were unavailable.

i agree and I think the police, forensic team, medical examiner are all there gathering the evidence. There is always a chance the father broke in this morning and did this to his family and made it look like a murder suicide. So, until the investigation is over it only looks like a murder suicide.

I'm led to believe that suicides are not really into 'secret' deaths. They telegraph their intentions, leave notes and generally make their deaths something of a spectacle.

The closet doesn't sound like a suicide ... hide the murder, maybe ... but not the 'star' of the shaow.

The mother's sister, who lives across the street, checked on the family at about 6:20 a.m. and discovered the five girls and their mother, believed to be about 23 years old, hanging in a closet, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said. Police arrived at the scene at about 8 a.m., Fowler said.

Strips of clothing were used in the hanging, Fowler said.
