It’s like having your ex-husband or old boyfriend and the woman he left you for move in next door. When you don’t have to see these people every day, you can get over it. When they’re in your face morning, noon and night, the old tapes start playing, the obsessions resurface. You’re deranged, again.
Deranged is how I feel about the release this week of two new Hillary books, both by journalists of distinction: two New York Times [NYT] reporters and Carl Bernstein of Watergate fame.

To those this weekend who said there’s no news here, just one big yawn, I say, have you lost your minds?
Half of America lives to trash Hillary. A significant number of Democrats will join this time around: it helps Barack, their latest darling.
And then there are people like me who have a demented fascination with all things Hillary.
“A Woman in Charge: the Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton.” That’s Bernstein’s title.
Instantaneously, the “b” word surfaced on the Net as the appropriate adjective before “Life.” It’s an old joke, and the books aren’t even in stores yet.
Here’s some of what these books claim:
That little Miss Phi Beta Kappa flunked the D.C. bar exam, and hid it from friends for 30 years!
That she’s so fixated on secrecy, even upscale fund-raiser guests must check their bags at her door.
That a 16-year dynasty was the Clintons’ secret plan, say Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta in “Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton.”
Even before the Clintons married they hatched a “pact of ambition,” a 20-year road map to the White House. They supposedly updated it after the ’92 election, determining Hillary would run after Bill. Mon Dieu!
Pulitzer prize winning historian Taylor Branch, the “secret pact” source, called the whole notion “preposterous.” No matter. That won’t keep it from becoming out-of-Arkansas legend.
That Bill, the serial philanderer, was ready to divorce Hillary to marry the love of his life, Marilyn Jo Jenkins, an Arkansas executive spirited into the governor’s mansion at 5:15 a.m. for a final liaison the day he left to become president.
In retaliation, Hillary contemplated divorce herself and a run for Arkansas governor. But Dick Morris, another once-trusted Clinton confidante, told her that voters there didn’t like her. She then turned her focus on destroying Bill’s girlfriends, at one point sitting in on an actual interview one woman endured with Hillary’s Rose Law Firm colleagues, Webster Hubbell and the late Vincent Foster, the one Hillary supposedly murdered, though not even I believe that. Simply not her M.O.It’s all a stark reminder of“the tawdriness of the Dog patch days,” one analyst opined, correctly.
On a serious note: The Times book suggests Hillary did not read the National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq before voting to authorize the war, which is very discouraging since she’s supposed to be the cross-the-t’s candidate.
I’m so worried about this war and whether we’ll be under water in 40 years, I’d vote for Ms. Screeching Sanctimony anyway were she to convince me she’s the wisest and gutsiest. Happily, she hasn’t. If only someone else would, I could, gratefully, let the healing begin. As it is, I am a tortured soul.
The liberals weren't entirely happy with Bill Clinton in 1992, but rallied to his side when he became the champion of abortion and the only way to keep the White House in Democrat hands in 1996. The 'Rats currently aren't all that pleased with the prospect of Hillary, but once they realize they have no alternatives they'll fall in line and support her, the American Kim Jong Il.
In Jan. 2017, Hillary will be 69 and Chelsea only 36, so they'll wait a term or two before pushing her as a candidate...but meanwhile they will try to maintain their control of the Democratic Party. It will never end as long as either of them are still around.
Chelsea only 36?..........35 to be POTUS, so don’t be too sure............

Within the Democratic Party, by 2016 there may be enough resentment of the Clintons' control that even Hillary will think it desirable to let a non-Clinton get the nomination...and let Chelsea have a few years of elective office before running for President. (She can't take Hillary's Senate seat because she will be too young as of Jan. 2009.)
But still valuable.
I think some time between now and 2016, Hillary will get access to more recent FBI files. After all, a lot of people have entered politics since 1993 and wouldn’t have been included in the 1993 batch of files.
