Try the Lord Chesterfield Ale or the Black and Tan!
Hubby worked there summers while in college. A fine family run business with another generation ready to take over when this one retires.
Lord Chesterfield Ale,is that local-I am here in Bucks county.
I drink them occasionally and will seek them out again.
I thought they were purchased by one of the large units and operated under the name only. I had no idea.
I had a few friends at college that worked summers at Yuengling. Seemed like a great place, with everyone all the way to the top on a first name basis.
Being about midway between Pottsville and Latrobe, well, that was about heaven for domestic beer. Yuengling was $4.80 for a case of pints back then. An occasional case of Lord Chesterfield and I recall they ran a porter. Alas, neither every made it west of the Rockies in good condition. Both (shed a tear for "33") far superior to the revolting Curs.

Better yet...pick up a case of Yuengling Porter and a case of Chesterfield Ale and Mix 50/50 or to taste....Serve 35 degreez
YUMSter Big time
The only place to go for Yuengling is to the immediate area of the PA brewery in Pottsville. They brew some that you can’t get out of state. In MD at least.
I will look for it, too! Down with union thugs!!!!
Just last week I was talking to a guy at my favorite watering hole about Yuengling (I was drinking it) and the guy told me he did some work for Dick Yuengling (not the business) and that he’s a good guy. He said Dick’s daughter’s husbands have to sign prenups and if they work at the brewery they do the grunt work like anybody else.
