The Two Canadian Walmarts near where I live, both have fabric sections

Not for long, all are to close the fabric section within 3 years.

The complete cut-off by Wal-Mart does not sound plausibly like glutted inventory. There are always demand for extreme sizes, as one example. The supply chain needs to be kept greased at some level. Something else besides Wal-mart economics is going on.
Could be that Wal-mart, who now has to support Chinese Communist Unions in its own stores there... is finally diversifying away from the Chicoms?

Fabrics are staying at Store #1, and the Hancock’s, one block East of it is closing!

My wife works at Store #1, here in Rogers, AR. The foreign associates are already making the rounds. First place they go is Sporting Goods. They are just FLOORED by the fact that you can buy guns here! Duped again. They're just figuring out how to produce them themselves, with their endless cheap labor. Watch for mass layoffs of what's left of our firearms manufacturers.

These days I rarely see ANYTHING not made in China, except clothes made in other Asian locations.
However, I am restoring an old boat with used parts off eBay and am quite amused to see “Made in the USA” on virtually every one of them. My how times have changed.

None of the Walmart's in my area sell firearms anymore.
From Walmart's own web site:
Why doesn't Walmart.com sell firearms? (bolding is on website)
Certain legal restrictions prevent us from selling firearms. But the Web site has an online catalog featuring a large selection of guns available for special order at your local Wal-Mart store.
Anyone know what these "Certain legal restrictions" are and why they exist?
Does it have to do with past violations of ATF paperwork requirements?

For how long? The dept manager at my Wal-Mart in Millington, TN said all would be closed in 3 years....yarn section is now a tiny one, embroidery thread was eliminated a year ago. Yet according to the Today show sewing is the hottest new trend among young women.

You quit buying “Made in China” and you’ll have nothing, especially money.

Lots of fruits and veggies state where they come from.
For expample, I saw strawberries from Mexico this week. I passed.
I’ve seen a lot of canned food that was labeled-Product of China.
