It is astonishing how the Congress and WH could go so much against the will of the people, especially when it means the survival of the country as envisioned by the Founding Fathers. Bush and many congressmen will have as their legacy the destruction of the US if this bill passes.

Anyone complainging on this thread who hasn’t called their Senators and US Reps has no business being here.
Call them! Call them again. Call Lott. Call McConnell. Call those fighting this and encourage them (e.g. Senator Sessions).
There has never been a time like now to remain vigilante. I see this as the single biggest issue we have faced as a nation in a long time—and that includes the War on Terror.
And on top of that, we need to elect a President who is going to be on our side on this issue. We need a voice on high to threaten Congress. It’s far too easy for them to ignore us now.

This legislation is the single worst bill i’ve seen in my lifetime and i’m no spring chicken. President Bush has lost my support over his push for this montrosity and his failure to enforce existing border laws. If this is passed he will be right up there competing with guys like Jimmy Carter for the title of worst President ever.
