INCREASING FREQUENCIES… Boeing and
Russia’s S7 Group on Tuesday announced an
order for 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and
purchase rights for 10 additional 787s. The
order is valued at US$2.4 billion at catalog
prices. Rollout and first flight of the 787 are
scheduled for later this year, followed by entry
into service in May 2008.

Mark McGraw talks about Boeings overall military contracts and the companys bid for the U.S. Air Forces $40 billion aerial refueling aircraft tanker contract. Its competitor is the French manufacturer EADS/Airbus. The Air Force is due to make its decision by the fall. Boeing says it supports more than 120,000 U.S. jobs while Airbus supports 500 U.S. jobs.
