Hey, I'd rather take the tax dollar hit up front in terms of isolating this guy in an effective quarantine ward than the economic hit of a XDR TB epidemic. There may be a few other hospitals that can treat XDR TB effectively, but the effective quarantine is the real issue. Also, he hasn't done anything illegal, so if they deny him the most effective medical care available I'm sure the lawsuit wouldn't be pretty.
