No disrespect intended...

I recommend you read the Humanist Manifesto (I & II)...

First, see how it stacks up against the tenets of classic Marxism and the Communist Manifesto.
It's an "eye-opener" of a comparison...

Second --conduct an intellectually honest self-examination & check your own spiritual/moral convictions...

Especially concerning the "basic goodness of humankind"...
And the ultimate ability of mankind to affect his ultimate destiny...

In other words, the inferred expectations that mankind will somehow -- in the final analysis-- "save" themselves...

Have a great day...

14 tells all.

FOURTEENTH: The humanists are firmly convinced that existing acquisitive and profit-motivated society has shown itself to be inadequate and that a radical change in methods, controls, and motives must be instituted. A socialized and cooperative economic order must be established to the end that the equitable distribution of the means of life be possible. The goal of humanism is a free and universal society in which people voluntarily and intelligently cooperate for the common good. Humanists demand a shared life in a shared world.

Dang if that don't sound like the hildabeast.

1. Humanists are commies, I got it but I’m not a humanist. The only thing atheism implies is that the person does not believe in a god, it doesn’t tell you what he does believe in.

2. I have, several times. As for humanity’s ‘salvation’ I don’t know what that means? But I do reject any kind of destiny, for either the individual or the species. People have this funny thing about achieving their goals, you make one for the species and what would we do when we ‘fulfill’ it?
