You hit an interesting point. If formerly straight people decide to come bursting out the closet, people are expected to applaud or something.

No one discusses whether being bisexual is a genetic condition. Nor do they consider it a problem if a bisexual switches from a same-sex to an opposite-sex relationship.

But to even suggest that a homosexual and particularly a male homosexual might choose a different orientation, might even be capable of such a choice, well, that's just the most evil thing that could ever be said. Slightly worse than Hitler.

What's strange is that a straight man can turn gay or a bisexual switch from hetero to homo relationships all they want. But only homosexuals, especially men, can never be capable of choice. And this is the very group that Exodus is speaking out for. Men who want to change and are willing to work at it as a process of life change. There is a real libertarian appeal there in telling people they can take control of their sexual urges.
