I think you’ve described the most likely scenario. Sadly, I don’t think even a nuclear attack would get our government or media or even the majority of our people geared up to fight back. There’d be a lot of talk, a lot of sentimental sniveling, a rush to protect Islam, and then probably we’d enter into a protective treaty with some Islamic government just to show them our good will and, of course, to start paying tribute. And then before too long we’d install our own Islamic government. Well, the last may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I do think that even a nuclear attack on the US wouldn’t change our current suicidal mindset.

And maybe when this happens, middle america, the silent majority, the people who actually make this country great, will fight. And if they fight, we will win. I don’t live in ‘middle america’ but I’m counting on them.

Unfortunately, I think most of the people where I live and many other areas of the US will surrender. The heart and soul of this country will never surrender. I count on them.

Many believe our concern/worry is unfounded, but I know it’s real. We have many prospective POTUS candidates who don’t value what America/the US is all about. And that goes for both sides/both parties. We have a majority in congress who don’t care about this country and ignore their constiuency. We have a media that is blatanly anti-American and most of America doesn’t see that. We have a school system that teaches Hate for the US/Americans and we Americans continue to allow this.

We’re screwed, unless middle america gets vocal and those of us in liberal regions start speaking out, loud.

So long asthe Government does not mess with American Idol, Sunday afternoon football, Monday night football the American people will be as compliance as sheep.

So long as it is only something as insignificant to them as their loss of freedom they will remain as quite as church mice.

The facts of the matter is that since 9-11 most Americans would gladly surrender what freedoms they have left to the Government so long as the Government makes them “more secure”.

If you do not believe this , backtrack to after 9-11 at the airports when they began the body searches. The media would stick a microphone in some idiot’s face and ,”I dont mind the inconvenience, body search,being treated as a suspect in a crime [even though the individul has not violated any law],throwing a 20 dollar bottle of shaving lotion or a0 dollar bottle of perfume in the garbarge if it will make me more secure.

Meanwhile the actual culprits waltz right on through the checkpoints and nothing is said.
