On May 14, jihadi forum users Abu Kandahar and Roslan al-Shami posted a five-point scenario for the collapse of the United States and the rise of the Islamic ummah, entitled, "The Next Strikes in the Heart of America, When and How."
The first stage in the scenario involves multiple terrorist attacks on three major U.S. cities, preferably with nuclear weapons, using an unspecified number of trucks.
While [New York, Miami, LA] are the three primary cities for attack, the writers of the document suggest that if the mujahideen wish to expedite the collapse of the United States, they should also conduct attacks in Seattle since it is a strategic border city ….

There five primary targets have been stated to be: LA, Seattle, New York, Boston and Las Vegas. Hitting those five cities should just remove most of the blue from political map.
Actually another article speculates that Mexican gangs are being hired by AQ to smuggle in the nukes.

Well, I would hope to God that if an American city got nuked, Mecca would get the same. Automatically and immediately.
Wouldn't it be easier if the jihadis just came across our southern border and all got instant legal status? Heck, maybe they could even get Z visas. No need for all that messy violence. I'm sure the Catholic Church would lend a hand. Maybe Jorge would invite them to the ranch.

Yes, I agree. It would be comforting to dismiss this as empty propoganda--and perhaps it is--but I would not be too certain. Especially over the long term (say, the next 15-20 years).
Continental Europe is already practically defenseless. Britain is a bit less underprepared, but hardly a bastion of military strength anymore.
Given the US's weak-kneed response to Iran, it appears that we are headed in the same direction--just a bit more slowly. And once the US capitulates--perhaps because it is simply more comforting to regard the jihadist threat as "overblown"--who will be left to defend effectively against it?
One of the worst slanders perpetrated on a conservative in the past few years was the media response to Tancredo's suggestion that Mecca be publicly announced as a MAD retaliation target.

The Congress would also need to be prepared to pass a $30 billion dollar bill to rebuild the middle east with a new “Marshall Plan” so that the rest of the world would like nice about us.
I would hope the same. But I would not count on it.
Remember, we are living in an age in which "restraint" is widely counted as a virtue--no matter how heinous the provocation.
The jihadis have a mortal quarrel with Hispanics. Most Hispanics are Catholic. Most of the rest are at any rate not Muslim. They enjoy music, dancing, beer, etc. In short, they enjoy life. And for all those reasons, the jihadis have put them on the list for destruction when they get a chance.
we should release a TV news show showing actual ICBM weapons that have been programed to target Mecca .

Discus what the targeting accuracy would approximately be expected to me , the kilotons involved , what the blast effects would be . And finally have them discus how long it would be before any part of that region would ever be habitable again....
Really put it out there in way that would cause the entire Muslim world to take a huge ‘gulp’....

Maybe not a good idea to nuke Mecca. If we do that, in doing so, we’ve committed to a genocidal war to the finish with Islam. It would probably lead to the ruin of both the U.S. and of Islam. The rest of the world would outlaw both, and neither we nor that religion would be in any shape to do anything about it.
The ambitions of the jihadis will, if they can get nukes, lead them into nuclear attacks on everybody, everywhere. Russia, China, Thailand, they’re all infidels. London, Paris, Rome, Moscow, etc. etc. would be targeted as well as U.S. cities. In fact, London, Madrid, and Moscow have already been the target of terrorist attacks.
