The very word “comprehensive” in comprehensive immigration reform is a clue that you are being had.

The very truth of the matter is that the government isn’t willing to enforce the law, so any law whether comprehensive or not will be irrelevant.

I will not believe in the good intentions of any lawmaker on this subject until I see the borders secured and current law enforced. Secure the borders, enforce the law, and then if in doing that we see some problems or anomalies that must be corrected, then fine, we’ll talk about it. But if you’re not willing to secure the border, as a minimum, why am I going to believe you about anything else?

And how does this “bill” provide to protect us from the illegal who just walks across the border and does not play any meaningful game and just stays illegal?? He will not be prosectued and imprisoned....for him it will be just the status quo as it is today...

BORDER FENCE FIRST...then work a program but ANY PROGRAM will be a failure for the REAL AMERICAN CITIZEN if the border is not closed to illegal traffic.
