Jim Jones probably sounded this frantic when he was convincing his followers to drink up. These remarks are not those of a confident leader who is leading the GOP into an ‘08 victory.

Read Peggy Noonan's latest column. As of this posting it was still on the Drudge Report. It is a classic regarding Bush and the GOP.

Betrayed, lied to, deceived...I could go on but I am still shocked at what he said. I cannot believe he is using the "jobs Americans won't do" line of BS.
He has gone off the rails...or maybe he has been off the rails and we are just now seeing how far.

“I don’t view this as risk reward. I, frankly, view it as doing what you ought to do.” - G Bush, per article
Is Bush channeling Woodrow Wilson? Eleanor Roosevelt? Hillary Clinton?
Clearly, this President has taken leave of rationality.

Oh brother, most of that speech sounds like it could have been written by Pelosi, Kennedy, or Vincente Fox. He has totally written us off and I’ve done the same for him.

I say the system is broken because there are people coming into America to do work that Americans are not doing, I am sick of this slogan It ranks right up there with "for the children".

My administration is deeply involved in this issue.Involved?
I believe the word implicated is far more accurate.

If anyone has lingering feelings about Bush’s conservativism, do a google or freepsearch on “totalization agreement”. In short it is an “agreement” to allow mexican nationals to collect US social security.

” I say the system isn’t working because there’s a lot of Americans who say that the government is not enforcing our border. I say the system is broken because there are people coming into America to do work that Americans are not doing, and there are good, decent employers who unknowingly are hiring them, which is against the law.”

Read this statement, slowly and carefully. Then explain WTH it means??

But I would remind people that you cannot fully enforce the border so long as people are trying to sneak in this country to do jobs Americans aren't doing.[ P R O J E C T I L E V O M I T ]

"I believe it's in this country's interest to solve the problem."ENFORCE THE LAW, EXECUTIVE.
Nobody's ever tried that. Secure borders, deportation and employer sanctions were required by the last "Comprehensive Immigration Reform."
I'm waiting for the promises of 1986 to be fulfilled before I listen to any new ideas.
