How does the immigration bill signed by Gov Henry affect Tulsa? It is supposed to be the toughest legislation in the Nation according to the hype.
Someone told me that Tulsa was a sanctuary city but I didn’t believe them — I was dead WRONG after reading this! Cannot believe the people that were fooled into voting for her.
Now that we're stuck with her for probably two terms after which time she'll either run for "higher office" or become part of a Klinton administration, Tulsa is indeed a sanctuary city. According to Michael M. Bates, a local Republican writer, Tulsa's policies are more lax than those of Los Angeles.
The rationale? "Let's not make them mad so they won't withold information from the police when they're doing criminal investigations."
So far as the new law that was signed by the Governor, Tulsa just won't enforce it. The incoming police chief will see to that. If he/she doesn't, he/she won't be staying long...
That is disgusting. I know the previous mayor was not the best but to put her in office — big mistake. Maybe she will get the illegals to vote for her when she handles the city polling places.
Did you hear about the deal cut in the Senate on elections boards. Seems that when your county gets majority Republican, you get to choose the election board secretary but Coffee made a deal to only do Tulsa and OKC and left out Cleveland County, the 3rd largest county which is still Dem and we have been in control of at least six years.
Less then impressed with some of our Republican leaders.
Heck, I've been a big dipwad too many times to mention.
I just knew exactly what you were saying......
Been There, Done That.
FRegards,
Liberalism...........
Plain and simple......
The incumbent RINO running against her cooked his own goose....No different than RINO's everywhere trying to out Lib the Lib's...
Taylor is dangerous...IMO.
Spot on....and good post.
I cannot believe the idiot ran — lazy for starters. I thought sure he wouldn’t run. Do you realize how many louzy candidates we had in OK in the last election? Scarey when you think about it. If that is the best we can do then we are in trouble.
No, you didn't. But I did.
"Tulsa is in Oklahoma ... and Oklahoma is part of the southwest."
I understood your post. Take your own advice. Feel free do disagree on the facts, but take the time to see what you are disagreeing about.
“I lived my early life in Oklahoma, spending 1995-2005 in West Los Angeles
after grad school.”
I lived on Decker Canyon in Malibu from 1986-2006. I now live in Scottsdale. L.A. is a toilet now, and I had to leave.

“Frankly, Tulsa can SUFFER. In the southwest weve yelled for YEARS, and YEARS and got blown off by the rest of American, calling us racists etc. Now you guys can have your jails overwhelmed, your schools filled paying for Hector and Pepitas kids to NOT learn English. now that YOUR cities are infested with these people go cry elsewhere. NOW do you get it? Have fun when your hospitals literally get shut down from the emergency systems being overwhelmed. When a loved one has an emergency, and has to travel FURTHER to the hospital than he/she would have have had to because the hospital that WOULD have been opened no longer is and your loved one dies...then MAYBE, just MAYBE it will begin to sink through your thick, thick, stupid skulls. Bitter? Gee...ya think? Wake up, stupid Uncle Sucker. First politico to grasp this and get the message out wins in 2008.”
Hey! I like this!!
BUMP
Los Angeles is being destroyed right before our very eyes.
