Is a college education a right or a privilege? How about health insurance? How about a living wage?

Now, is gun ownership a right or privilege?

The one item implicitly identified in the Constitution as a right and he calls it a privilege. All the rest he calls rights are not even identified in the Constitution. He is 180 degrees out of phase.

He should be barred from running for President if he is willing to misrepresent the Constitution in this manner. Edwards represents the worst in politics.

His unique form of hypocritical populism, his complete willingness to disregard the founding principles of this country to advance his personal political ambitions and his $400 haircuts make him an absolute caricature of the dispicable beast we call “politician.”

And to top it off, the fairy gets his hair cut and nails done at the Pink Sapphire.

Well, we all disagree with him on the immigration issue. But surely you believe that access to the internet is a right clearly defined in the Constitution.

Surely you remember the raging debate over the New Jersey Plan at the Philadelphia Convention? John Dickinson and Roger Sherman came to blows over whether or not a Constitutional Right for Internet Access would allow for dial-up or if it had to be High Speed.

In the end it was Hamilton - just back from New York - and Madison who forged the "Great Connectivity Compromise" that said as long as there are Publicly Accessible T-1 lines at every public library it is acceptable that 1/3 of homes in any given county be provided with only dial up.

Truly our Founding Fathers were great in their foresight!

“The first six months of my administration I’m going to travel the world.... and show people that we aren’t selfish:

1) Cure AIDS in Africa
2) Solve the genocide in Darfur (until Code Pink tells us otherwise
3) Educate 100 million children throughout the world (at the price we pay here for public schools $7000 per student per year?)

I take it that's a joke. But what's sad is that it may be true!

Don’t take my word for it. If you think MSNBC is a slightly reliable source, take their word for it:

“FEC records show Edwards also availed himself of $250 in services from a trendy salon and spa in Dubuque, Iowa, and $225 in services from the Pink Sapphire in Manchester, N.H., which is described on its Web site as “a unique boutique for the mind, body and face” that caters mostly to women.”

Why do you think he didn’t sue Ann Coulter when she implied he was a flaming queer? Because even the idiot Edwards knows that truth is a defense. ;-)

Incredible. Citizenship for alien who’s worked here for five years is a maybe a right, and so is Internet access and college tuition, but not owning a handgun, according to Edwards.

I realize that Edwards must know the difference between privileges and rights, and surely he knows he's wrong. This is just pandering populism, but if Edwards - or someone like him - were to win the presidency, the entire basis for our nation's government would be in jeopardy.

We've had radical leftists as presidents (FDR, LBJ), and they succeeded in getting so many of their programs passed into law and past the Supreme Court that it's frightening what someone like Edwards or Hillary Clinton might mean for the future of our country.
