RM, here’s my suggestion to you. You oppose this bill. I oppose this bill.
When you oppose a bill, you welcome the voices of all opponents. You dont dissect their opposition and assail it on grounds that it is not based on the right reasons because you have ideological grievances against the individual. Anyone given the job of trying to kill a piece of legislation learns this fast.
We are in a tough fight. We need all the opposing voices we can get.

More bunkum. Rooty is running for the GOP nomination. He is a liberal and thereby an enemy of conservatism. Rooty supports the fundamental aspects of comprehensive immigration reform and always has. As Mayor Rooty supported NYC remain a sanctuary city for illegals. He agrees with McCain, Kennedy and Bush on the latest Senate incarnation for immigration reform.
From the latest Rasmussen poll, 75% of Americans oppose this legislation. They know its amnesty. This is the basic politics of liberalism versus conservatism. Rooty supports amnesty.

Actually I did know that and it was the one of Ronnie’s mistakes. I even think there was some attempt to “fix” illegal immigration before that. Hey why don’t we just enforce the laws we have???

We’d be fools to assume that the “beefed-up security” would be implemented. At best, the current regime (and the coming Democrat one...) would show the same enthusiam they have show for the fence. Same thing for the “trigger.”
I have a better idea. Defend the southern border. Then everything else can go on the table. With the Federale’s history of picking and chosing what parts of a bill to enforce, the last thing we need is “comprehensive” reform.
