Agreed, No one has been at the forefront like TANC except Duncan Hunter.I am glad FDT is on board with TANCs position as this will more than likely be at the top of conservative voters list in 08. Thompson or Hunter at the top of the ticket and TANC head of homeland security.Wonder how many democrat voters will be on board with this?

Have you listened to Duncan Hunter speak to the issues? He is right on the mark.Oh by the way, they said the same thing about RR and if you are are old enough you remember what happened.Getting more face time to get his message out would’nt hurt so how about sending him some money? Go to GoHUNTER08 and Thank You for your support.

He wasn’t good... I’m sure there’s a transcript somewhere. He basically agrred with Kerry that global-warming was man-made.

His talk of seucring the border is what we all want. Tancredo has been after that for years. Did Fred bring up the issue when he was a senator?

Those who are first will be last, and those who are last will be first. Besides, Tancredo is a one trick pony.

To a standing ovation, Thompson said, "We've got to secure the border first. . . . This is our house, and we get to decide who gets to come into our house."

Who knew Fred was a nativist, closed minded, racist bigot? Did I leave anything out? Perhaps I can call the Bush administration for some fresh insults.

If the Dims begin impeachment, I will not defend him for anything.

That’s how much I’ve turned away from him.

Maybe it is all one grand conspiracy theory. I mean, why would Bush not want the borders secure when he has spent so much time and effort in the WOT? Everyone has always underestimated him, including me.

What could possibly keep the Democrats and Hillary out of power in 2008? Nothing short of the Republican base being madder than hell.

Well, that has happened. You even have Bush standing up and stirring the pot by chiding his own base.

I think he's crazy...like a fox.

But we could, possibly, see a Fred/Newt ticket. I don't see a hope in hell of Newt winning the presidency, but if the veep is to solidify the base or bring in wayward states, Newt might do some of that.

I don't see any way that happens. Can you name 20 people in the US who wouldn't vote for Fred over (say) Hillary unless Newt was on the ticket? But there are people who wouldn't vote for Fred BECAUSE Newt was on the ticket. That includes a lot of social conservatives and some of us who think Newt's sell out to the global warming crowd is pandering. I think Newt on the ticket is a net loss for anyone except a liberal like Rudy.

For political purposes, he picks a middle of the road conservative without the high negatives, which probably means a near unknown. Any good midwestern governors come to mind? (Serious question)

Now THAT'S an interesting theory, however I don't agree with it.

No, they didn't "say the same thing about RR." Reagan a) was a governor who had b) national exposure for 20 years, both c) as a movie star and d) as a television star. As gov., RR had a HUGE political base that DH can only dream about.

People need to get real on Hunter and Brownback and these tier 10 candidates (they really aren't even "tier 2"---that's Newt): these guys have no chance. DH, as I say, is not even going to get on as a veep, because he can't deliver any votes.

FT has most of the things DH doesn't have: a national identity, name recognition among the great unwashed, people nationally willing to support him with $$; and people champing at the bit to join his campaign.

Yah, you’re right. I was temporarily insane. FT would attract 99% of conservatives, while Newt would, as you say, drive away many “middle-of-the-roaders.”

Wow!

But, Fred, this is W's house, and he wants to deed it over to his humble family retainers--America belongs to the Bushes, and he's bound to give it away. Craziest d@mn thing I've ever seen...

You're right. He's acting like the U.S. is his house to give away.
