Who needs time travel when Al Queda is already living in the 7th century?
“Who needs time travel when Al Queda is already living in the 7th century?”
Well, I live in the 16th century, according to my wife, and I think I have something that would work.
We can find where their families live. How about we say this to them: “We will hang or burn your mother, your children and your wife or wives in their homes for your first offense. If we ever hear from you again, we will seek out and destroy all of your blood relatives.”
Unconstitutional? You bet, that’s what is called a “Bill of Attainder,” and it is specifically prohibited in the Constition. But hey, we’ve been told it’s a living document that changes with the times. A bill of attainder against non-citizens outside the US ought to be Constitutional, with a “living” document.
I do believe that terrorism would slow down, for a lot of reasons, not least of which is having extended families of would-be terrorists turning them in. This worked for the Tudors in England, and it will work now.
