As they used to say when pissed off because people called them called “Green Berets:”
“Sir or Ma’am:
A Green Beret is a U.S. Army authorized headcover worm by specially trained parachutist, foreign language, exotic weapons and other highly developed military skills-qualified special operations soldier.
In the U.S. Army those soldiers are proud to be collectively called “Special Forces.”
I am such a Soldier. I am not a hat.
Toot toot bump.
He only uses that term when people ask him what he did in the army and they have blank looks on their face when he says special forces.
You are right, he equates it with what they wore on their head.
"I am such a Soldier. I am not a hat."
At least three or four people asked what instrument I played when I said "Special Forces".
"Green Beret" they understood (somewhat).
